Dr John Bullivant
Dr John Bullivant FIQA is Director of the Good Governance Institute, joint lead on the Governance between Organisations (GBO) programme and author of ‘Integrated Governance, Delivering reform on two and half days a month’ (HFMA, 2007).
He is an experienced board facilitator, with an excellent knowledge of policy, governance and the commissioning of quality in the four health administrations in the UK as well as overseas.
He has been the Director of the VFM Unit and Benchmarking Reference Centre, NHS Wales, a District Auditor, a board director of a health authority, associate director of the Clinical Governance Support Team and is now visiting fellow at the Open University Business School (OUBS) and the University of Glamorgan.
He is a Fellow and Vice President of the quality council of the Royal Society of Medicine, a peer reviewer for Healthcare Inspectorate Wales and an advisor to a number of organisations including OUBS, Humana Europe, Dynamic Change and Capsticks.
John helped establish the ICSA NHS company secretary programme and is currently sitting the exams himself. John runs a range of board and senior management development programmes in the NHS and other fields.
The Good Governance Institute maintains the Good Governance Body of Knowledge (GGBOK). The Good Governance Institute is currently hosted by Bradford PCT but will shortly become a social enterprise.
