Lynn is a Registered Nurse and an Independent Consultant with a range of experience in acute, primary care and the private sector.

With an excellent understanding of quality improvement and risk management having specialised in this area for the last 20 years, in the NHS, private sector and overseas. Lynn consults, advises and lectures internationally on healthcare governance, risk management, quality and patient safety issues.

Prior to working as an Independent Consultant, Lynn worked as one of the first Directors of Governance in the UK, in an acute specialist NHS Trust. Accountable for Clinical Governance, quality and risk management within this role, Lynn developed, led and managed the Governance Unit to deliver health improvement and quality programs.  

The focus of her work within the last three years has been on Board Assurance, Standards for Better Health and the development of Integrated Governance.  Lynn has had many speaking engagements with Health Care Events at the Royal College of Surgeons and also in Sydney Australia.  

Projects have also been undertaken in Australia, specialising in quality improvement, risk management and governance. Lynn was involved in the implementation of the Safety and Quality program in Western Australia and assisted with the development and implementation of the Clinical Indicator Program in West Australia and was also involved with the trials and implementation of the AIM’s (Australian Incident Monitoring System) in the Royal Adelaide Hospital South Australia.
